About Armadillo
Armadillo Medical Services is a small, primary care family practice in Lafayette started by Dr. Philip Hunt in 2007. Originally from Austin, Texas, Dr. Hunt served in the United States Air Force, and after an honorable discharge, he graduated from the University of Texas School of Medicine. He completed his residency in various practices in Eastern Tennessee and later came to Lafayette to pursue his passion for rural medicine. Armadillo Medical Services was founded on his desire to provide preventive and primary care to the population of this town, and serve the community he came to call home.
Our Mission
To provide compassionate and professional primary medical care to the residents of Lafayette and the surrounding areas. Focusing on preventive care and wellness, as well as acute care and chronic management allows us to serve residents of the community of all ages. We are honored to be caregivers and partners in health with all of our patients, and new patients are always welcome to join the family!
